Biography

Dr. Minoru Kuribayashi earned his B.E., M.E., and D.E. degrees from Kobe University, Japan, in 1999, 2001, and 2004, respectively. He worked as a Research Associate and then an Assistant Professor at Kobe University between 2002 and 2015. From 2015 to 2023, he was an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology at Okayama University. In 2023, he became a Professor at the Center for Data-driven Science and Artificial Intelligence at Tohoku University.

Dr. Kuribayashi’s research focuses on areas such as multimedia security, fake content detection, adversarial examples, fingerprinting, traitor tracing, signal processing, cryptographic protocols, coding theory, and statistical analysis. He has served as an associate editor for IEEE Signal Processing Letters, the Journal of Information Security and Applications, and IEICE. He was also a member of the IEEE SPS Technical Committee on Information Forensics and Security. Currently, he chairs the APSIPA Technical Committee on Multimedia Security and Forensics.

Dr. Kuribayashi has received several honors, including the Young Professionals Award from the IEEE Kansai Section in 2014 and Best Paper Awards at IWDW in 2015 and 2019. He is a senior member of both IEEE and IEICE.

Biography

Dr Lusia Rakhmawati graduated with a doctoral degree from ITS in 2020 in the field of multimedia communications. His current research is about image processing, security communication, telecommunications signals, communication systems, and virtual laboratories. Now he serves as coordinator of the UNESA electrical engineering undergraduate study program.

  • Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering, National Dong-Hwa University, Taiwan
  • Distinguish professor, Institute of Network Learning Technology, National Central University, Taiwan from 2010.
  • Major research interests: Using AI and Anything to Text Recognition technologies for education, particularly smart learning in authentic contexts and multimedia human-computer interaction for learning.
  • In 2020, the highest impact factor SSCI journal (IF= 964, 2021) in the area of technology enhanced language learning, Journal of Computer Assisted Language Learning, counts its publications in recent 12 years (2008-2019). Dr. Hwang was ranked top 1 in terms of the number of publications, H-index papers and impact factors.   • Published around 150 high quality journal papers in major international journals indexed by SSCI and SCI in the area of educational technology.
  • Owing to the outstanding contributions of research outputs to National Science Council, Taiwan, Dr. Hwang received the Ta-You Wu, Memorial Award (National Science Council) in 2005 and Outstanding Research Award (Ministry of Science and Technology) in 2021.
  • Dr. Hwang has conducted international collaboration with other countries like UK and Indone Currently, there is one collaborative research with Prof. Herman (the dean of Engineering faculty), Yogyakarta State University, Indonesia to investigate authentic contextual learning under COVID19 using ubiquitous technology and cloud services. He is experienced and interested in such kinds of cross-cultural studies using advanced technologies to know the differences and similarity of e-learning among different countries or areas.
