This research aims to identify the nature of entrepreneurship that distinguishes the entrepreneur with a potential-based technology entrepreneur, to develop the traits of an entrepreneur-based technology in Indonesia. It specifically aims to: 1) determine the socio-demographic profile and entrepreneur from experts in technology, a developer of technology and students; 2) determine the needs of technology-based entrepreneurial skills; and 3) recommend actions that will enhance the skills of technology-based entrepreneurship.

This research is a small research, as for this kind of research is research development (R n D), with the quantitative approach, whereas the respondents as follows: 5 taken at random technology-based entrepreneurial principals, vocational high school students 20. The descriptive statistics tool (i.e., the frequency counts, tools and cross-tabular analysis) is used to analyze the data. Personal Entrepreneurial Competence score (PEC) of the respondents also specified. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) and the subsequent analysis of the T-test is used to determine the significance of the difference the average value between the nature of PEC between different respondent groups.

The results showed that the technology developers and students differ significantly from current technology experts in terms of search opportunity, risk taking and confidence. Entrepreneurial skills development needs-based teknopreneur. Search opportunity, confidence, risk taking, networking and negotiation and important traits other PEC among developers and students should be handled by a special training program and program branches and/or courses and programs instituted in entrepreneurship. The components of the training and technical/business of this project may consider the characteristics that should be improved among the developers and students this is a technology-based entrepreneurial skills needs into the future. To develop the traits of PEC, competition, training and business seminars, forums, exhibitions and exhibition investors based technology and products to be followed regularly. Such activities can be coordinated by the Ministry of cooperatives and SMEs, technology and entrepreneur training center be it land or private. In addition, the activities of the coordinating business mentoring clinic and dengand service and other related management.
